Wakatek successfully completed the installation of a 2HP borehole system at the SOS Village, providing the community with a reliable and sustainable water source. This installation included two high-quality Jojo tanks and their stands, ensuring an efficient storage solution for the harvested water. The system also featured a tap for easy access and a drip irrigation system designed to optimize water usage for agriculture, enhancing the village’s food production capabilities. The project has significantly improved water access and farming practices, contributing to the overall well-being of the community.

During the installation, several challenges were encountered. The first issue arose from the rocky soil conditions at the site, which made drilling for the borehole more difficult and time-consuming than initially anticipated. Additionally, the delivery of materials was delayed due to transportation difficulties, which caused a temporary setback in the overall project timeline. Lastly, the installation of the drip irrigation system faced technical difficulties in the alignment of the pipes, leading to issues with water distribution.

To overcome these challenges, Wakatek took a proactive approach. The drilling team used specialized equipment to navigate through the rocky soil, completing the borehole with minimal delays. For the material delivery issue, Wakatek coordinated with local suppliers to ensure that the necessary items were received in a timely manner, while adjusting the schedule accordingly. To resolve the drip irrigation issue, experienced technicians worked closely with the team to adjust and realign the system, ensuring that the irrigation lines were properly set up for maximum efficiency. As a result, the project was completed successfully, and the village now enjoys reliable water access and improved agricultural output.
